Choral Pavilion is a choir based in New Brighton, Wirral and it began in October 2010 with 14 participants turning up for the first session. Since then the group has grown to epic proportions, there are now over 100 members, both men and women, and every term the number increases! We often credit HM The Queen for the huge numbers, as word got round that Choral Pavilion are a choir to be reckoned with after we performed for her and Prince Philip in December 2011.
As with all Simply Singing choirs everyone is welcome to join Choral Pavilion. You don’t need any experience and there’s no need to read music, but you do need a sense of humour and a willingness to have a go! There are specific joining dates at the beginning of each term, when we design the sessions to encourage new members.
To belong to Choral Pavilion is to be a part of a huge family. We get together every week and have loads of fun, and there are socials, concerts, meals out, day trips and anything else the members can come up with throughout the year. There is a very active committee representing the choir members’ interests, finding fab performance opportunities and organising socials and concerts. Choral Pavilion are hugely supported by The Floral Pavilion, and we thoroughly enjoy our view of the Mersey as we sing!
